German Skillet Dinner







What You'll Need



  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup uncooked rice (minute rice works well)
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • One can diced tomatoes or Rotel tomatoes
  • One half cabbage , chopped
  • One med onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Three bl butter or margarine
  • Two lbs hamburger

How to Make It

  1. Melt butter in skillet, layer cabbage, uncooked rice, onion, raw crumbled hamburger, salt and pepper, and garlic powder then tomatoes.
  2. Cover with lid and simmer on low for 25-35 minutes until rice, cabbage and burger are done.
  3. Do not stir or lift lid until done.
