Mom’s Secret Christmas Eve Chex Mix.

What You'll Need

  • three cups corn chex
  • three cups rice chex
  • two cups whole wheat chex
  • two cups mixed nuts
  • two cups bite-size pretzels
  • two cups garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular bagel chips
  • two one half sticks (1 1/4 cups) salted butter, melted
  • four tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • two one half teaspoons seasoned salt
  • three quarters teaspoon garlic powder
  • one half teaspoon onion powder

How to Make It

  1. Pre heat oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. In large bowl, mix the chex cereals, mixed nuts, pretzels and bagel chips. Set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a bowl (I normally do the full two and one half sticks) and mix in the worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder and a good pinch of pepper.
  4. Pour the butter over the cereal mixture, tossing well for three to five minutes or until the cereal mixture is evenly coated.
  5. Bake one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes (or just start eating!!).
  7. Store in airtight container.
