Sesame Chicken Potstickers

What You'll Need

  • one pound ground chicken
  • three ounces shiitake mushrooms, diced
  • two cloves garlic, pressed
  • two green onions, thinly sliced
  • two tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
  • one tbsp sesame oil
  • one tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • one tsp rice vinegar
  • one quarter tsp white pepper
  • 36 two-inch won ton wrappers
  • two tbsp vegetable oil
  • Soy sauce, for serving

How to Make It

  1. In a large bowl, combine chicken, mushrooms, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, rice vinegar and white pepper.
  2. To assemble the dumplings, place wrappers on a work surface.
  3. Spoon one tbsp of the chicken mixture into the center of each wrapper.
  4. Using your finger, rub the edges of the wrappers with water.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape, pinching the edges to seal.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add potstickers in a single layer and cook until golden and crisp, about two to three minutes per side.
  8. Serve immediately with soy sauce, if desired.
