Nutella Brownies







What You'll Need



  • one cup (2 sticks) butter
  • two and one quarter cups sugar
  • one half cup Nutella
  • four large eggs
  • one and one quarter cups cocoa powder
  • one teaspoon salt
  • one teaspoon baking powder
  • one teaspoon espresso powder, optional
  • one tablespoon vanilla extract
  • one and one half cups all-purpose flour
  • ten ounce package Hershey's Milk Chocolate Baking Melts (or chocolate chips)

How to Make It

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter completely.
  3. Stir in sugar and continue cooking for one to two minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Do not allow sugar mixture to boil.
  5. Remove from the heat and stir in the Nutella until well combined.
  6. Pour butter mixture into a large bowl or stand mixer , beat in cocoa powder, eggs, salt, baking powder, espresso powder, and vanilla extract.
  7. Mix until well combined.
  8. Stir in the flour and baking melts until just combined.
  9. Spread into prepared pan (batter will be very thick and sticky) and bake for about 30-35 minutes, until a tester comes out mostly clean.
  10. The edges should be set and the center should still look slightly moist, but not uncooked.
  11. Cool on a wire rack.
